Easter with the Rogers

There are a lot of hard things about moving, but the hardest for me is at holiday time.  Our traditions are so important to me and moving away has really changed all our traditions.  Every Easter we have had a huge Easter Party with special friends in Montgomery.  This is the first year in 7 years that we haven't been together for a chaotic but fun Easter lunch and egg hunt.  We were going to start the tradition here with new friends, but when little River Rogers was born and ended up very sick in the NICU we decided to cancel our plans and drive to Lubbock to visit our sweet friends the Rogers.  Little did we know that River would make a miraculous quick recovery and be home when we arrived--PRAISE THE LORD!!!  It was so good for my soul to love on this sweet family.  This was our 8th year to celebrate Easter together and it was very special!!!

Martha and Keith's beautiful tree--a very rare sight in West Texas!

A visit to the campus of Texas Tech--I was loving the Tulips!!

The big kids lined up youngest to oldest ready to hunt eggs

Baylea Jane wasn't to sure about River

but she thought she would check him out.
